SLED Charges Barnwell County Man with Financial Fraud
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Scott Dwayne Brown, 62, with two counts of Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent – Value More Than $2,000 but Less Than $10,000 on Monday, August 31, 2026. The Barnwell County Sheriff’s Office requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Brown was booked into the Barnwell County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 2nd Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
